It's Not What You Think.

Pork is all the rage in New York. I don't think it ever really went out of style personally, but with new preparations items like the belly to the ribs are all over the menus. And not just on the entree list...

Bring on the desserts.

Mr. Broad was running some errands on a random Saturday and came back with a surprise for us to try.

PIG CANDY! or chocolate covered bacon


It's rich, crispy, and has the sweet/salty taste to it. Just all around pretty awesome. I think when the Old Testament was written and the part about pigs being unclean and declared unkosher... well I think they would have changed their minds if they knew the possibilities of what you could do with the little oinker. I'm just saying.

Anyway. The picture isn't the prettiest but if you check out the gallery on her website there are plenty of other drool worthy chocolates. Including Bacon Buttercrunch??

I'm telling you, Moses just couldn't see this coming. Sorry Dad :)

YUM!!!! and I adore your city! I am on the westcoast and only dream of the next visit to NYC! I love the food, the people, the culture...so much to love!
